We love making custom orders! Everything from minor tweaks to existing WonderBox designs, all the way to entirely new products! If it's got buttons and lights, we can bring it to life!
Take a look at the gallery below for inspiration and examples of our previous work.
We've also done larger installations for museums and institutions.

This super-mini WonderBox is only a few inches long and small enough to carry around in the hand! It's got one of every color LED and this particular one features a beautiful Maple body
This is a very special WonderBox! One of our largest with a 16" square faceplate set into an angled body to allow easier use on a desk. It also features a spiffy paint job and "knife switches," a lever-style switch usually used for educational purposes.
This is a very special piece because it is the first to incorporate audio! The left half is a classic WonderBox, and the right half is a soundboard with 12 customizable sound samples that play back from a built-in speaker! Encased in a lovely all-blond Maple body.
This is a custom commission for the Children's Museum of Southern Oregon, with a Maple body and a solid aluminum faceplate! It also features a special rows-and-columns switch system for the grid of large lights in the top left corner.
Also a part of the custom commission for Children's Museum of Southern Oregon, this matching set of 3 WonderBoxes feature a white paint job and solid aluminum faceplates. We're also fond of the wide bar-shaped design on boxes 1 and 2, also a unique to our portfolio.
This is an Extra Jumbo WonderBox (18x18") with a black and silver paint job, custom built for the Des Moines Children's Museum!
A custom build for a recording studio. A pair of all black WonderBox Jumbos. Very sleek very cool.
This is a custom design built for a former DJ, heavily inspired by audio equipment, featuring faders and cables!
This was a custom build for a pilot who wanted a WonderBox with labels emulating those found below the switches in an airplane.
This one was a custom build to be part of the set on a sci-fi film!
A custom build featuring banana cables and plugs (usually used for making test circuits in a scientific context) in place of switches. Very colorful and fun, one of our favorites.
I have a soft spot for these monochromatic WonderBoxes. Obviously we love a rainbow color scheme but there's something subtle and classy about single-color lights.
The closely matching blonde coloring of the faceplate and body gives this Junior a subtle look that would go well in the home
For this Junior, I designed a simple wall mounting system so the junior can be hung securely on the wall or taken down to play without any tools. It also features rounded corners and the material is Tigerwood which is a lovely uniform orangey color.
This is the first custom build that I made for myself back in 2016. Many internal improvements have been made since, but I still love the look of it.
on this build, the largest lights are click-able arcade buttons and the main rows of LEDs are custom colors.
This was our booth at the Argosy Market in East Atlanta, where WonderBox is based!
One of my favorite exotic wood materials is Canary Wood. It has such colorful high-contrast grain and it's very fun to work with. This was custom built as a gift to my dad.
This Original size WonderBox is notable because of the all-blonde woodwork that comes from the light-colored poplar body.
Aromatic Cedar is one of my favorite materials to work with. It has a beautiful grain pattern of marbled blonde and red (almost purple), and as an added bonus it smells amazing, especially when it's cut.
Sometimes a customer will request rounded edges for the safety of very young children. We also think it looks lovely!
We had such a rush of orders for Christmas that we wound up with a WonderBox Wall before they shipped out!
